Begin here…

Quite often I get asked, “How do your draw your pend drawings from scratch?” That’s one of my favorite questions about the work. I’m simply tell them that I start in the center and work my way outward from the middle. The gallery shown here shows 24 different slide of the progress shots I took, creating this piece ‘On the Vine’. The finished size of the piece was 9.5″ x 9.5″.

Make One Decision

Sure I have a style that I enjoy working into a design, but when I begin, I really have no idea of what I’m going to do, I just decide to do it. I make one decision on what I’m going to do in one spot, then I just get to enjoy trying to duplicate it along other spots. I try not to work to far ahead in a design, methodically working my way around the piece, one decision at a time.
